our story

The coronavirus has made many parents unlikely elementary school teachers. Our family is no different. Out of the highs and lows of these difficult times, an educational app for basic math was born. Everything from the logo to the app design was led by my daughter, while Dad handled the wonky tech bits, including a little AI to encourage the little ones to write out the numbers (there are so many apps out there but it's all about tapping or dragging at best) -- We are the Two Dots.

The app offers instructional videos and an interactive testing section. Kids answer utilizing a mini digital blackboard where an AI engine recognizes the handwriting and provides feedback.

The blackboard also helps to develop fine motor skills and to address any dysgraphia, usually manifested as "flipped" numbers, very common in this age bracket.
